Anita Heiss is a Wiradjuri woman now living in Sydney. Much published author, academic and recently featured in the Sunday Life. She is funny, wise, touching and political.
In this discussion Anita will focus on the preconceived notions of Aboriginality that she constantly tries to break down through her writing. In doing so, she will discuss and read from her most recent works published in 2007: Not Meeting Mr Right the first Aboriginal chick-lit novel, Yirra and her deadly dog, Demon written with the students from La Perouse Public School, and I’m not racist, but… a collection of social observations..
You will have a chance to purchase copies of her books. Books will be
supplied by The Next Chapter of Warriewood Square.
