Philip McLaren is an Indigenous author and artist who lives on the Northern Beaches. His books are best sellers and have been translated into many languages for a growing international market. His first novel Sweet Water-Stolen Land won the David Unaipon award for Literature. Philip has just completed an historical novel, or more correctly a docufiction (fully indexed documented fiction), about the real ‘Man from Snowy River’. This year Philip completed a Doctor of Creative Arts degree at University of Technology Sydney. His dissertation topic was The Portrayal of Aboriginal Australians in Fiction.

On the night you will have a chance to purchase copies of Philip’s books which are being made available courtesy of The Next Chapter, Warriewood Square.
