It’s now over two months since the Federal Government re-occupied Aboriginal owned land in the NT. Legislation has been passed which makes for a crushing loss of rights for Aboriginal communities. Opposition has been ridiculed and dismissed. Larissa will bring her knowledge, compassion and analytical legal skills to help us to understand and respond.

Research consistently shows that the key to improving the appalling Aboriginal life statistics is to have Aboriginal people in the driving seat at every level of policy, program development and implementation. IMPOSED SOLUTIONS FAIL.

Larissa is a Professor of Law and Director of Research at the Jumbunna Indigenous House of Learning at the University of Technology, Sydney. Larissa is a Judicial Member of the Administrative Decisions Tribunal, Equal Opportunity Division and the Alternate Chair of the Serious Offenders Review Board. She has published on property law, indigenous rights, dispute resolution and Aboriginal women's issues.

ALL WELCOME.
