Wednesday 26th May NATIONAL SORRY DAY
27th May to 4th June RECONCILIATION WEEK
Sunday 30th May ASG SORRY DAY celebration, meet at 2.30pm at Berry Reserve, Narrabeen for Welcome to Country then Remembrance walk to Bilarong Scout Hall, Wakehurst Parkway, arriving 3pm. (If wet then just go to the Scout Hall at 3pm.) An opportunity for Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians to come together to learn and have fun. THERE WILL BE NO ASG BUSINESS MEETING IN JUNE DUE TO THE LONG WEEKEND
Wednesday 16th June FIRE TALKER, a documentary about Aboriginal political activist Dr Charles Perkins aka Charlie Perkins who led the Freedom Rides in the 1970s, will be screened at 10am by the Support Group at Collaroy Cinema, Collaroy Beach. Made in 2009, this biopic is directed by Ivan Sen, Berlin Film Festival award winner for his acclaimed film Beneath Clouds. Narration is by Rachel Perkins.

4th to 11th July NATIONAL NAIDOC WEEK - the theme is Unsung Heroes - Closing The Gap By Leading Their Way
Monday 12th July ASG Information Night – ABORIGINAL HERITAGE IN THE GURINGAI AREA with Guest Speaker David Watts, Aboriginal Heritage Officer, and staff will present an outline of what the AHO does within the eight of the Guringai northern Sydney councils.
